This course aims to impart to students knowledge of Meng Zi's life, his political, social, ethical, and philosophical thoughts and literary characteristics of the work of Meng Zi through lectures and classroom discussions. The course also promotes the quintessence of Confucian thoughts. In addition, thesis writing is required in order to enhance students' abilities of independent thinking, analysis, and writing.
