This course traces the historical development of the euphemistic and antithetic writing known as P'ian Wen and introduces students to the study of the meaning, rhymes, writing skill and literary artistry of such a style. It is designed to enhance students' ability in understanding and appreciating P'ian Wen and in enriching their critical thinking.
