Special Features
1.

To strengthen productive skills in written and spoken English;

To provide broad educational exposure which encourages bilingual competence and multicultural sensitivity and development;

3. To stimulate intellectual growth through providing an educationally generalist programme;
4. To encourage student exploration of cultural heritages through critical analyses of English language and literatures in English;
5. To initiate students to adopt an interdisciplinary approach to knowledge in a hybrid, weblike and complex 21st century.
 

General Objectives
The programme is designed to be a portal to entry-level careers in both the private and public sectors. Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be equipped to function as junior professionals in a variety of settings. Their training will prepare them to adapt to prospective private or public institutional methods, procedures and requirements. In addition, their theoretical foundation will enable them to pursue higher-level training and educational opportunities.
   
   
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants* must:
1. have passed the HKCEE with at least six E grade subjects or above, including Chinese and
English; and
have passed Chinese Language and Culture and Use of English in the Hong Kong Advanced Supplementary Level ('AS' Level) Examination, plus passing at least one Advanced Level ('A' Level) subject in Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination in one sitting or equivalent;
2. Associate Degree Holders; or
3. have attained equivalent education standards from overseas countries.
* All candidates for admission will be interviewed as part of the selection process.
