| Course Aims |
This is an
introduction to the social behavioural aspect of human nature. Topics start with
a general orientation to social psychology and then proceed to specific topics
relevant to the understanding of human behavior in social situations:
attribution, social beliefs and judgment, interpersonal liking and attraction,
group influence, attitude and behaviour, persuasion, aggression, etc. Relevant
theories and applications are sought. |

Class Participation Reflection Paper - student will choose a social psychology topic that is of interest, then survey the topic and make critical reflection on it in relation to (e.g.) the local context of Hong Kong - use of the APA style is encouraged Final Project and Presentation - an application-oriented paper - a social psychology topic selected by student - use of the APA style is encouraged Term Examination |
