This course aims
at promoting students’ understanding on four major areas: |

| Course Objectives |
The course is intended to get
students ready for conducting a scientific research to test out their
hypotheses. The focus of the course will be on hands-on experience in the whole
research processes. After completing this course, students will be able to: 1. appreciate the uniqueness and functions of major research designs and methods; 2. select the appropriate design and method for a chosen subject of inquiry; 3. design effective materials for conducting research (e.g. stimuli or questionnaires); 4. grasp the important aspects of data collection; 5. comprehend the intricacies of data analysis and interpretation; 6. write a report in APA format; and 7. give an oral presentation of their research findings. |
