| Course Aims |
This course aims to provide non-major students with a concise introduction of sociology and enables them to understand the formation of human society in a critical manner. This course introduces the major principles, paradigms and issues in sociology. Special attentions are paid to contemporary social changes, and various essential structures and practices in human society such as socialization, gender, family, social stratification, social inequality, political institutions, economic systems, collective behaviour and social movements. |
