This is a list of potential PhD supervisors from the University of New England that are available to assist you with your doctoral research studies. There are other supervisors that are not listed here that may be also available. Please note that we have included a sample of the publications of supervisors listed below. It is not a full list of their books, chapters in books and research article publications, but a selected list to give you the opportunity to learn more about their research and academic interests. BOWERS, Dr Randolph RESEARCH INTERESTS: Identity, culture, and place (i.e. looking at issues of marginalisation, identity, and minority experiences of healing; also looking at human ecology, place in relation to rural identity, and the value of marginal and liminal space; study of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender experiences of counselling and health; analysis of how counselling and health services can address minority needs; addressing counsellor and allied health practitioners educational needs in relation to diversity issues; the use of indigenous and culturally-grounded approaches to teaching, research, and service delivery).
