3. Recent and Ongoing research

  • Group Perception experiments

This line of experiments focus on the kinds of perceptual cues (physical vs movement) that may lead to group entitativity perception, i.e., the perception of an aggregate of individuals as a cohesive group with some shared attributes among its group members. We propose that physical cues would result in trait-based group entitativity perception while movement cues would lead to goal-based group entitativity perception.

  • Regulatory Focus

This line of research focus on how people’s regulatory focus, that is, whether their motivation orientation is towards obtaining accomplishment or towards avoiding punishment, affect their self-presentation strategies, decision making and idea generations.
