JOUR 100 Introduction to Journalism & Mass Communication

This introductory course aims at providing the groundwork for media related disciplines. It presents an overview of mass media such as newspaper, magazine, motion picture, radio, television, PR and advertising, and covers the current structure and its roles in social and cultural changes. Students should be equipped with the basic vocabulary and fundamental concepts necessary for advanced classes at the end of the course.
