JOUR 460 Digitization and Interactive Multimedia

(1 Term; 3 Credits)

The course is tightly focused on exploring the structuring and organization of multimedia and interactive website development projects. A variety of communication media are discussed, from plain text to pictures, audio, sound, animation and video and their presentation on the World Wide Web. To master the building blocks of multimedia and interactive websites, the course explains the components and processes, then helps students explore ways to complete multimedia and interactive website development projects.
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
a) Understand the broad issues in multimedia and interactive design issues;
b) Develop effective multimedia and interactive website; and
c) Examine contemporary websites from different perspectives.
