JOUR 490 Documentary & Public Affairs Programmes
   (pre-requisite: Jour.340 T.V. News and Public Affairs Reporting)

To study the essential skills and techniques for a director/producer to acquire in news documentary production and public affairs programmes.
Students will be trained to be a critical thinker - learn to observe, to focus, to make sound judgment and to analyze critically; to be a good storyteller - learn to be convincing, sharp and specific; to be a responsible media professional - learn how to apply journalistic ethics and principles from concepts to practices; and to be a devoted communicator – learn to enhance better understanding between government and community; majority and minority; and privileged and underprivileged.
