Regulations for Residence

Occupancy |

Accommodation in the Hall is provided to the Resident for the
specific purpose of personal residence.
Use of the premises for any other purpose is prohibited. |

Change
of Rooms |
¡@ 2
Change of rooms among Hall Residents is not allowed except with
the prior written permission of the Hall Management. |
|
Identification |
¡@ 3
A Resident must carry a valid resident card at all times. For the
purpose of identification, any person entering the premises of the
student accommodation may be required to show his/her smart card to the
management staff. |

Key |
¡@ 4
A Resident shall be responsible for the room key assigned for
his/her personal use. A
room key should not be loaned to anyone. 5
Loss of a room key should be reported immediately to the Front
Desk of the Hall and a replacement key will be issued on payment of an
administration fee as promulgated by the Hall Management.
Non-payment will result in the deduction from the damage deposit. |

Visitors |

A Hall Resident may invite visitors to the Hall during the
visiting hours between 8:30a.m. and 10:30p.m.. 7
A visitor is not allowed to stay overnight. 8
All visitors entering or leaving the Hall must register at the
Front Desk of the Hall. 9
A Resident who invites a visitor to the Hall shall be responsible
for the conduct of his/her visitor whilst in the Hall, and any charges
or fines incurred by the visitors. |

Disruptive
Actions and Behavior |

Actions or behavior that disturb other residents or the operation
of the Hall, threaten the health and safety of self or any other
resident, or that which unreasonably interfere with any other
resident¡¦s normal use of facilities are prohibited. |

Drugs,
Alcoholic Beverages |

A Resident shall not bring into the Hall or permit any person to
bring into his / her room any dangerous drugs as defined by government
ordinance of HKSAR. 12
A Resident is not allowed to keep/consume alcoholic beverages
within the Hall. |
|
Smoking |

The Hall is a smoke-free residence.
No smoking is allowed within the Hall. |
|
Fire
Hazards |

Possession of chemicals, explosives or highly combustible
materials that are potentially dangerous or damaging are prohibited. 15
Open flames, including candles and incense, are prohibited in any
part of the Hall. |

Gambling |
¡@ 16
A Resident shall not engage in any gambling activities or any
act, play or game that gives the impression of gambling in the Hall or
permit such activities to take place in the same. |
|
Cooking |
¡@ 17
No cooking is allowed in the Hall except at areas designated and
under the conditions stipulated by the Manager.
Cooking inside the bedrooms is strictly prohibited and is
considered to be a serious breach of the Regulations. |

Inspection
of rooms |
¡@ 18
The Warden / Hall Manager authorized representative of a
particular student accommodation reserves the right to authorize entry
into any rooms / flats in that student accommodation with or without
prior notification to ensure proper care, maintenance and safety of the
facilities, to make necessary repairs, and to investigate any suspected
violations of residential regulations. Efforts will be made as far as
possible to give advance notice when room/ flat is necessary. |

Decorations
and Display Materials |

Decorations and display materials are allowed to be displayed
only on designated notice boards or at places permitted by the Hall
Manager to be used for such purposes. |

Furniture,
Fittings and Fixtures |

A Resident shall not interfere with existing fixtures and
fittings or install new utilities or fittings without the prior
permission of the Hall Manager. 21
A Resident shall not affix any glue, scotch-tape, nails, spikes,
tacks or any other sharp or adhesive objects on or drive the same into
any wall, floor, fixture, fittings or furniture in any part of the Hall 22
Furniture and equipment of the Hall must not be removed from
their designated locations except with the permission of the Hall
Manager. |

Pets |

A Resident shall not bring or maintain pets, animals, and birds
in the Hall. |
|
Cleanliness
|

It is the responsibility of the resident to keep his/her room
clean and tidy. Management staff will check on the conditions of the
student rooms periodically and they reserve the right to request the
Residents of the room to clean it up immediately |

Noise
Control |

Quiet hours for the Hall residency will be as follows: 11:00pm ¡V 8:00am.
Quiet hours encourage respect between residents to ensure that
plenty of time is available for study and sleeps. |

Laundry |
¡@ 26
A Resident shall wash/dry his/her clothing in the laundry room.
Drying and hanging of wet clothing inside the bedroom or public
washroom is prohibited. |
|
Hallways |
¡@ 27
Hallways, walkways and stairs are to be kept clear of equipment,
furniture, garbage and other obstacles to free passage. |
|
Restricted
Areas |
¡@ 28
For security and safety reasons, restricted areas of the Hall
area marked and are out-of-bounds to Residents. |
|
Deposit |
¡@ 29
A Resident is required to pay deposit.
The amount of which shall be determined by the Hall Management
from time to time. The
room deposit will be refunded without interest at the end of the
residency upon the Resident duly returning the key to the Hall and
having settled all the charges incurred during the residency. |
|
Drop out from College |

If a resident drops out from college he/she will lose the right
in the Hall residency. |
|
Interpretation
of these Regulations |

The Hall Manager shall have the authority to interpret these
Regulations. |
|
Breach
of Regulations |

If a Resident fails to observe any of these Regulations, the Hall
Manager may, by order of the Hall Management, suspend or terminate
his/her residency at the Hall, and/or impose any disciplinary actions
and/or charges on the Resident. |

Revision
of rules |

The Hall Management reserves the right to revise the regulations
whenever it deems necessary. |
