Position in Accounting

Founded in 1971, Hong Kong Shue Yan University is an independent liberal arts university and is Hong Kong’s first private university. The Department of Accounting offers a four-year honours degree in Accounting, which has also been accredited by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants for direct entry into its Qualification Programme. The University has a vacancy for a full-time position in accounting tenable from September 1, 2010.

To be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, applicants should have a Ph.D. in accounting or a related area, a proven record of research ability, and relevant teaching experience at degree level. The successful candidate may be required to teach some of the senior-level courses including: Accounting Theory, Accounting Research Methodology, International Accounting, and Accounting System in China. Applicants with a master’s degree and a professional accounting certification along with a solid background in university degree teaching will be considered at the rank of Lecturer. Applications from senior academics about to retire or have recently retired are encouraged as there is no rigid retirement policy and the rank of Full Professor will be considered.
