Course Aims

This course aims at introducing basic research concepts and techniques to students. Students will get familiarized with research designs and methods, data collection, data analysis and interpretation. Besides, students will learn how to write research reports in the APA style of publication. Furthermore, there will be opportunities for students to practice formal presentation of research findings.
 

Course Objectives After completing the course, students will be able to:
1 demonstrate understanding of basic concepts and terms about scientific research;
2 recognize the features of various research methods and designs;
3 select an appropriate design and method when conducting research;
4 collect, analyze and interpret data;
5 be familiar with the APA format;
6 make a formal presentation of research findings in a formal way;
7 generate questions and opinions when reading other's research works
