Study Abroad Scheme

                                  Study Abroad Scheme

              The Study Abroad Scheme offers Shue Yan undergraduate students an opportunity for
          international exposure with our partner universities outside Hong Kong. With financial support
          from  private  scholarships  and  government  subsidies,  second-  and  third-year  students  are
          encouraged to take advantage of the Study Abroad Scheme to earn transferable course credits
          for 1 or 2 semesters at our partner universities. At present, Shue Yan has more than 75 partner
          universities from 30 countries/regions (including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada,
          Finland,  France,  Germany,  Greenland,  India,  Indonesia,  Japan,  Mainland  China,  Macau,
          Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, Spain,
          Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam).
          Through participation in the Scheme, students will be able to:

              ➢  improve their language skills
              ➢  inspire their interest in learning
              ➢  enrich their academic and life experiences
              ➢  be more independent
              ➢  engage in a multicultural environment
              ➢  build and strengthen their international networks
              ➢  develop a global perspective
              ➢  cultivate cross-cultural skills and knowledge in order to help them become competitive
                 in the globalized world

              In addition to sending our students to study abroad, the Study Abroad Scheme also invites
          foreign students from our partner universities to study at Shue Yan as exchange students.
          Through befriending students from different cultural backgrounds, Shue Yan students can learn
          about each other’s cultures, and share their life experiences and insights of learning.
