雖然你們是中學生，老年卻與你們息息相關！無論你們將來從
事那一個行業，老年都與你們息息相關！今天的香港已經是老
20 年城市，老年人口正在急速攀升，而八十歲以上的高齡長者更
加迅速增加。由於我們愈來愈長壽，患上各種疾病(如中風、腎
病、糖尿病和癌症)的機會也相對地大。研究亦發現愈長壽愈容
易患上認知障礙症，而這病是不能完全根治。與此同時，許多
長壽的長者仍然是身心康健。事實上，老年和長壽是機遇。若
果你們打算投身社會工作者行列，老年社會工作是一門極有前
社會工作學系 途的行業！若果你們打算投身商界、公共事務或公務員行列，
掌握老年的知識和技巧，不但會為你們開啓極有前途行業的門
徑，這也助你們更好好照顧父母和祖父母，促進跨代的家庭關
