Guidelines for Student Life

1. The University aims to inculcate in students a sound personality in the capacity of an
individual and a scholar. Therefore, moral cultivation and academic training are equally
important in our persistent effort to achieve this goal;

2. It is hoped that every student should have a hard-working spirit, a high sense of justice
and self-respect which are the fundamental qualities of a perfect personality, in order that
one can work on one's prominence and yet take upon oneself to help others to be
prominent;

3. Maintain one's good habits and manners and abstain from smoking, drinking, gambling
and/or other vices in and out of the University; moreover, one should pay attention to
dress code, behave oneself and speak in a way befitting a well-educated person;

4. Be respectful to one's teachers and kind to fellow students in order to develop and
promote a noble friendship;

5. Take good care of University facilities and maintain cleanliness of the University
environment;

6. Be ready to shoulder responsibilities, be charitable, helpful and civic-minded;
7. Always be a person of integrity, honesty, sincerity and with a clear conscience;
8. Seek the truth with a discerning mind and maintain good order and discipline instead of

being a blind follower or a perpetrator;
9. Apply oneself to one's studies and refrain from any illegal activities;
10. Act on these principles of conduct to ensure good discipline in the University and

achievement in one's own academic work which will be dedicated to the advancement of
society, culture and peace;
11. Avoid doing anything in extra-curricular activities that may impair the reputation and
discipline of the University.
