HKSYU Receives QESS Funding to Build New Industrial Attachment Platform
2025-12-17

Hong Kong Shue Yan University has received grants totalling nearly HK$4.9 million from the Education Bureau’s Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) to develop a one-stop cloud-based resource platform for industrial attachment (OCRPIA). This platform will consolidate internship and employment resources across academic and administrative departments, along with student portfolios, to enhance collaboration with external partners and strengthen students’ work-readiness and employability.

The OCRPIA consists of three clusters of functions, namely “e-Portfolio Builder”, “e-Connector”, and “e-Learner”, that can help the University to formulate an aggregated database for building personal portfolios for students’ career development, connect with local and overseas industry partners in the digital era, and advance technology-enhanced work-related training. It is scheduled for launch in the second half of 2026.
