As the first teaching and research centre dedicated to filial piety in Hong Kong, the "Tin Ka Ping Teaching and Research Centre for Filial Piety" was inaugurated on 27 January 2024 at HKSYU. Prof. SUN Tien-lun, Senior Vice President of HKSYU, delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the Tin Ka Ping Foundation for their generous support in promoting awareness and understanding of filial piety culture among academia and the public.

Mr. Tin Hing Sin, Chairman of the Board of Tin Ka Ping Foundation, expressed his admiration for HKSYU’s educational philosophy embodied in the school motto “Cultivating virtues of benevolence; broadening horizons and knowledge”. He was willing to provide funding for the establishment of "Tin Ka Ping Teaching and Research Centre for Filial Piety" to conduct research and spread filial piety culture. Moreover, he hoped that the centre could further promote the practice of "Youth in Elderly" in Hong Kong's primary and secondary schools, so as to propagate the significance and values of filial piety.

本港首間提倡孝道文化的教研中心「田家炳孝道文化教研中心」，於2024年1月27日在香港樹仁大學開幕，仁大首席副校長孫天倫致辭時表示，感謝田家炳基金會慷慨捐助，促進學界和社會大眾更重視和關注孝道文化。

田家炳基金會主席田慶先先生表示，素仰仁大的辦學理念，以「敦仁博物」為校訓，樂意資助成立「田家炳孝道文化教研中心」，研究及推廣孝道文化，進一步推動香港中小學實踐「長幼共融孝道文化」，以弘揚孝道文化的意義和價值。

由田家炳基金會資助逾404萬元成立的「田家炳孝道文化教研中心」，具備推廣、普及和教育的多元功能。在學術研究方面，以研究孝文化及其相關領域為主，提倡跨學科的研究方法，包括文本研究、孝文化歷史與思想研究、孝思想的普世價值研究、孝文化與營商及管理研究，孝與心理及情感教育研究。

「田家炳孝道文化教研中心」主任區志堅博士表示，感謝田家炳基金會支持仁大，田家炳公素以《朱子治家格言》為一生教育及營商的指導，更以實踐孝行作為家庭教育的宗旨，有望「田家炳孝道文化教研中心」亦能從多元化、跨學科及結合當代數碼科技，推動及提升香港青少年的道德文化，為社會建立敦厚仁義的風尚。

以「田家炳孝道文化教研中心」研究成果建立的孝道文化資料庫，將應用於高等院校、中小學及各地區的長者學苑，包括用於製作教材、出版刊物及舉辦工作坊等，推動孝德的社會實踐，普及孝道文化知識。
