We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr Hu Hung-lick, founding president of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU), who passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 105.

Dr Hu’s selfless dedication and unwavering commitment to HKSYU and the advancement of higher education in Hong Kong set a remarkable standard. Members of the public are welcome to attend the following services to pay tribute to our founding president.

• Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admission tickets will be distributed at the entrance of Lady Lily Shaw Hall starting at 12:00 noon on the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hong Kong Shue Yan University in honor of Dr Hu’s lifelong mission.
