The funeral service of Dr Henry Hu Hung-lick, Founding President of Hong Kong Shue Yan University, was held on 27 August 2025. Following the service, the burial took place at Hong Kong Cemetery, where he was laid to rest alongside his late wife, Dr. Chung Chi-yung. Six political and education representatives served as pallbearers, including Mr Kenneth Ting Woo-shou, Chairman of the HKSYU Board of Governors; Mrs Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, Legislative Council Member and Convenor of the Non-official Members of the Executive Council; Ms Elsie Leung Oi-sie, former Secretary for Justice; Mr Wong Yan-lung, former Secretary for Justice; Professor Ambrose Yeo-chi King, former Vice-Chancellor and President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong; and Mr Li Lu, President of Zhejiang Shuren University.
