Empowering Students, Shaping Futures: HKSYU Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony

Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) held its Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony, with Mr Chris Sun Yuk-han, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, serving as Guest of Honour. Senior management and donor representatives were also in attendance. This year, a total of 320 students received scholarships and bursaries, including 274 scholarships, 76 service scholarships, and 30 bursaries, amounting to HK$3.24 million.

 

In his address, Dr Chow Tak-sang, Vice President (University Administration), noted that 2026 marks both the 55th anniversary of HKSYU’s founding and the 20th anniversary of its university status. Reflecting on the past, he remarked that the University has advanced steadily despite challenges; looking ahead, it will continue to uphold its educational mission, foster the integration of digital technology with the humanities and social sciences, and nurture a new generation of talents with global vision and social responsibility.
