
Twelve outstanding students from Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) have been awarded HSBC Scholarships in recognition of their academic excellence and active involvement in community service. Several awardees attended the HSBC Scholars Day 2026 to celebrate their achievements alongside fellow scholars and to receive this recognition.
Three Shue Yan students were awarded “HSBC Hong Kong Scholarship”. They are:
- Bibi Mamoona MOHAMMAD (Year 3, Department of English Language and Literature)
- Xie Yuheng (Year 3, Department of Counselling and Psychology)
- Yao Cai-er (Year 4, Department of Journalism and Communication, BA-MDIT)
Each recipient received HK$50,000.
In addition, nine students from the Department of Social Work were awarded “HSBC Social Work Scholarship”. They are:
- Year 3: Wong Hoi-lam, Cheng Hoi-hin, Hui Lok
- Year 2: Yau Ka-kei, Wei Yee-man, Pun Sau-wai
- Year 1: Chan Hau-yan, Tang Chui-man, Lam Wing-yin
Each recipient received HK$25,000.
