HKSYU is embarking on an exciting project: the establishment of a University History Museum (校史館). We are calling on the community to contribute to this initiative by sharing precious stories, artifacts, and memorabilia related to Shue Yan's history.
As Hong Kong Shue Yan University approaches its 55th anniversary, we are proud to reflect on the journey that began in 1971, guided by the spirit of "Cultivating Virtue, Establishing Benevolence, and Promoting Knowledge." Through the unwavering dedication of our founders Dr Henry H.L. Hu and Dr Chung Chi-yung, generations of HKSYU students have been nurtured to uphold these values.
To honor this rich heritage and showcase the resilience and determination behind our mission, HKSYU is embarking on an exciting project: the establishment of a University History Museum (校史館). We are calling on the community to contribute to this initiative by sharing precious stories, artifacts, and memorabilia related to Shue Yan's history.
Whether it's a news article about our founding principles, a cherished memory of our founders, a milestone in our academic achievements, or a personal memento from your time on campus—every piece matters. From historical documents defending our four-year education system to a simple keepsake or letter, your contributions will help preserve the legacy of HKSYU for future generations.
Led by HKSYU Academic Vice President Professor CHAN Ching, Selina, our team will carefully review and curate the collected materials to enrich the museum's archives. Together, we can ensure that these invaluable memories are no longer forgotten but instead celebrated and preserved, continuing to inspire the Shue Yan spirit for years to come.
If you have any archives to share, please read the letter to our Alumni and return the sharing form (Word / PDF) by sending it to: museum@hksyu.edu. Let’s work together to build a museum that tells the story of Shue Yan’s past, present, and future!
