2025-10-17

Hong Kong Shue Yan University held the 2025 "Future Star" and "Fan Changjiang Action" summer activity summary sharing session at the Mrs. Dorothy KOO and Dr. Ti Hua KOO Plaza. The event was hosted by the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, and was attended by group Vice Chairman and General Manager ZHENG Yong-nan, representatives from the Hong Kong SAR Government, members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from Hong Kong, as well as educators and business representatives.

Dr. CHOW Tak-sang, Vice President (University Administration) of HKSYU, expressed in his speech that the "2025 Fan Changjiang Action" has achieved fruitful results over the past twelve years, with more than a thousand media students from Hong Kong higher education institutions having traveled to the mainland and numerous countries along the Belt and Road. Through on-site interviews and firsthand experiences, they have gained a deeper understanding of local history, culture, and social development.

Dr. CHOW believes that these experiences are in line with HKSYU’s educational philosophy and motto “Cultivating virtues of benevolence; broadening horizon and knowledge” (敦仁博物). He believes that the meaning of education extends beyond knowledge transfer to character development. He hopes students will continue to explore the world with enthusiasm and curiosity, becoming future pillars who carry a sense of national pride while looking outward internationally.
