
The HKSYU “Chinese Martial Arts and Sports Culture Communication” research project hosted a virtual guided tour workshop on January 23rd, which invited teachers and students from Caritas Chong Yuet Ming Secondary School and S.K.H. St. Michael's Primary School to the University’s Digital Imaging Laboratory. They learned about virtual guided tours and used AI and VR technologies to explore martial arts organizations and notable Chinese martial artists. The workshop aimed to preserve Chinese culture and promote digital humanities and interdisciplinary exchange.
Mr. Kong Pui-wai, President of HK Chinese Martial Arts Dragon and Lion Dance Association Ltd; Mr. Lee Yuk-cheong, Chairman of the Ving Tsun Athletic Association; Dr. Lee Ka-man, HKSYU Assistant Vice President; Dr. TSANG Chung-Kin, Associate Head of Department of Sociology, were present. Dr. TSANG introduced the "Digital Imaging Laboratory" and the newly launched “Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Arts, Culture & Technology” programme to participants.
