Community Service Project Series: VR Game Inspires Students

To mark its 55th anniversary, Hong Kong Shue Yan University has launched the “Community Service Project Series”, designed to apply academic research for the benefit of local communities. The Department of Journalism and Communication organised a virtual reality (VR) game activity at The Methodist Church HK Wesley College, engaging teachers and students in meaningful discussions on “empathy, ethics, and social responsibility in digital storytelling.”

 

Students shared that the immersive experience not only deepened their understanding of the complexities of journalistic reporting, but also demonstrated how interactive teaching methods can enhance learning and the practical application of knowledge.
