HKSYU Encourages Inter-departmental Collaboration in Teaching and Research

At a university academic meeting in early May, Professor CHAN Ching Selina, Academic Vice President of HKSYU discussed the inter-departmental collaboration in teaching and research with the University senior management, departmental heads, and faculty and staff. Prof. CHAN said that the University encourages departments to actively promote and disseminate the curriculum features and latest information, as well as the outstanding achievements of students and alumni through various means, including continuously updating departmental websites and social media pages, producing videos, and creating departmental YouTube channels.

Academic Vice President Professor CHAN Ching Selina was Appointed as a Member of AAB

The Government recently announced the membership of the Antiquities Advisory Board in its new term, Professor CHAN Ching Selina, Academic Vice President of HKSYU was appointed as a new member for a two-year term. Prof. CHAN Ching is a professor in the Department of Sociology, her research interests focus on cultural heritage and collective memories, food and identities, religion and intangible cultural heritage, as well as kinship, lineage and colonialism. She is also a member of the Sub-committee on ICH Items under the Intangible Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lord Wilson Heritage Trust.
