QS Asian University Rankings: Shue Yan takes the lead among Hong Kong's private universities
The QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024 are now live! In the 16th edition of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024, 856 institutions are showcased from 25 countries and territories. Hong Kong has ten subsidised and private universities on the list, with Hong Kong Shue Yan University ranking 351-400, making it the highest-ranked private university in Hong Kong. Peking University continues to maintain its position as the top university in Asia, while the University of Hong Kong has risen two places to rank second, surpassing the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University.

Shue Yan obtains a HK$15+ million research funding from Research Grants Council
Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) has been successful in obtaining HK$15 million funding for 8 research projects under the Research Grants Council (RGC)’s 2022/2023 Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector, ranking the first by total amount awarded among all participating institutions.
