KSYU's Association of Faculty of Commerce Holds the First High Table Dinner
The Association of Faculty of Commerce (AFC) at HKSYU held the first high table dinner at Gusto Cafe (1/F, R&A Complex) on 22 November 2023. The officiating guests included Mr. Chris TANG, President of the Institute of Accountants Exchange and CPA Australia, and Vice President of the CMA Australia; Dr. LUI Chit Ying, Assistant Academic Vice President and Head of the Department of Law and Business; Dr. LAW Chui Chui, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Dr. YUEN Wai Kee, Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance; and Ms. CHAK Suet Ching, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Accounting.

The project "Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage and IPMAN Ving Tsun," sponsored by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation and led by the Department of Journalism and Communication, held its project results release and award presentation ceremony on 18 November 2023 at the Jockey Club Multimedia Production Centre, Research Complex.
Shue Yan joins the TDC Education and Career Expo and guide students to find their 'Direction For Tomorrow'
The Trade Development Council is hosting a four-day Education and Career Expo at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Center. The booth of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (1E-A02) is themed "Direction for Tomorrow", aiming to assist students to identify and explore their own study interests and abilities through interactive games, hence finding a right path to pursue their future study and career. Meanwhile, visitors are also welcome to join the short admission talks to know more about the admissions tips.
Dr TH Koo and Mrs Dorothy Koo donated 30 millions for the University plaza renovation
Hong Kong Shue Yan University's 35th Anniversary Plaza has been renamed to Mrs Dorothy Koo and Dr Ti Hua Koo Plaza. Prof. Catherine Sun, Senior Vice President expressed gratitude on behalf of the University to the donors Dr Ti Hua Koo and Mrs Dorothy Koo, for their generous donation of 30 million dollars to refurbish the plaza. The plaza is equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment and provides a wider space for students to engage in digital art and cultural activities, such as concerts, drama performances, plays, and even virtual reality games.
Collaborative research on “The impact of traumatic experiences on homelessness in Hong Kong” by the Department of Counselling and Psychology and ImpactHK
The Department of Counseling and Psychology of HKSYU and ImpactHK, a local organization supporting the homeless, interviewed 89 homeless people aged between 21 and 78 from January to July this year to learn about the relationship between their past traumatic experiences and homelessness.
Students from the Department of Applied Data Science selected as outstanding Chinese youth for the Mainland Exchange Programme
Two year2 students from the Department of Applied Data Science at HKSYU， Hans and April, were selected as outstanding Chinese youth to visit four key cities (Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Shenzhen) in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong Province from 13 August to 20 August, and attend the “Dragon 100” exchange program.
