
HKSYU Career Fair 2023
Since Hong Kong Shue Yan University has fully returned to the physical teaching mode this academic year, the 2023 Career Fair also returns to the physical mode after 2019, recreating the lively atmosphere in the 35th Anniversary Plaza. Over 90 organizations participated in the Career Fair this year, offering more than 1,100 job vacancies.

Student from the Faculty of Social Science Receives Scholarships
Miss LI Yi Grace, a fourth-year student from the Department of Sociology, was awarded the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarships and became one of the six awardees in Hong Kong this year. The 36th Awards Presentation Ceremony of the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund (SEYMF) was successfully held at Hong Kong City Hall on March 19.

BA Year 4 Student Travis Won the Fund in Entrepreneurship Programme
Travis Lam, a fourth-year student from the BBA DM programme won a total of HK$200,000 seed fund for his startup company Alpha Eco under the innovation and entrepreneurship programme HK Tech 300.

Shue Yan Sociology and Business students represent Hong Kong to Promote Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage
9 Sociology students won in the 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area College Student Creativity Festival (Hong Kong Division) and the winning teams were selected to represent Hong Kong to participate the final contest held in Guangzhou in May.

JC Festival 2022: The Original Aspiration of Media
The JC Festival is an annual event organized by the Editorial Board of the Department of Journalism and Communication of HKSYU to promote the external understanding of the Department through the exhibition of students’ works such as documentaries, photographs, and manuscripts. With the cooperation and support of the Office of Student Affairs, Hong Kong Shue Yan University Alumni Association held an online and on-site “Career and Personal Development Seminar and Forum” and Alumni back-to-school Visit Day on January 14 in the Lecture Theatre on the 3rd floor of Research Complex, allowing alumni and students to deeply explore how to practice career planning.
