The Association of Faculty of Commerce (AFC) at HKSYU held the first high table dinner at Gusto Cafe (1/F, R&A Complex) on 22 November 2023. The officiating guests included Mr. Chris TANG, President of the Institute of Accountants Exchange and CPA Australia, and Vice President of the CMA Australia; Dr. LUI Chit Ying, Assistant Academic Vice President and Head of the Department of Law and Business; Dr. LAW Chui Chui, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Dr. YUEN Wai Kee, Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance; and Ms. CHAK Suet Ching, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Accounting.
HKSYU Social Research Centre Holds an International Academic Conference on “Re-discovering Youths Today: Identity, Subculture, Psychosocial Functioning, and Service Needs”
On 4 November 2023, the Social Research Centre at Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) organized the international academic conference on “Re-discovering Youths Today: Identity, Subculture, Psychosocial Functioning, and Service Needs”. The conference brought together speakers from HKSYU's "Youth Identity Status" project research team, as well as scholars from local institutions and around the world. HKSYU's Department of Counselling and Psychology Collaborates with Wuhan University to Establish Three Internship Sites for Clinical Practice and Research
In order to strengthen educational cooperation and exchanges between mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as to meet the learning needs of students, Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) has signed agreements with Wuhan University's Second Clinical Medical College, School of Nursing, and Wuhan Qicai Xinghua Education Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly establish three internship sites since the end of September 2023. These sites, named the "Clinical Practice & Research Site of Hong Kong Shue Yan University," the "Practice & Research Site of Hong Kong Shue Yan University," and the "Play Therapy & Research Site of Hong Kong Shue Yan University," will provide students with professional clinical practice and academic research opportunities.

Hong Kong Shue Yan University has received funding from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to launch a project focused on enhancing social and emotional learning for primary school students. The project titled "Emotion World: Enhancing Middle Primary School Students’ Emotional Competence Via a Holistic, Integrative, Gamified Platform," aims to address the need for emotional competence development among primary school students through a combination of online and offline counseling, capacity-building workshops, and digital games that support deep learning of emotional skills.
