
Hong Kong Shue Yan University Receives Funding from Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to Promote Emotional Learning for Primary School Students
Hong Kong Shue Yan University has received funding from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to launch a project focused on enhancing social and emotional learning for primary school students. The project titled "Emotion World: Enhancing Middle Primary School Students’ Emotional Competence Via a Holistic, Integrative, Gamified Platform," aims to address the need for emotional competence development among primary school students through a combination of online and offline counseling, capacity-building workshops, and digital games that support deep learning of emotional skills. This project is expected to benefit 5,000 primary school students, along with their parents and teachers

Shue Yan joins the TDC Education and Career Expo and guide students to find their 'Direction For Tomorrow'
The Trade Development Council is hosting a four-day Education and Career Expo at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Center. The booth of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (1E-A02) is themed "Direction for Tomorrow", aiming to assist students to identify and explore their own study interests and abilities through interactive games, hence finding a right path to pursue their future study and career. Meanwhile, visitors are also welcome to join the short admission talks to know more about the admissions tips.

Dr TH Koo and Mrs Dorothy Koo donated 30 millions for the University plaza renovation
Hong Kong Shue Yan University's 35th Anniversary Plaza has been renamed to Mrs Dorothy Koo and Dr Ti Hua Koo Plaza. Prof. Catherine Sun, Senior Vice President expressed gratitude on behalf of the University to the donors Dr Ti Hua Koo and Mrs Dorothy Koo, for their generous donation of 30 million dollars to refurbish the plaza. The plaza is equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment and provides a wider space for students to engage in digital art and cultural activities, such as concerts, drama performances, plays, and even virtual reality games.

The Department of Counseling and Psychology of HKSYU and ImpactHK, a local organization supporting the homeless, interviewed 89 homeless people aged between 21 and 78 from January to July this year to learn about the relationship between their past traumatic experiences and homelessness.
