TV Show Filmed at Shue Yan campus
Hong Kong Shue Yan University continues to support its alumni to shine in the creative industries. Ms Pun Man-hung, alumna of the University and Part-time Lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication, served as screenwriter for TV show COURT!, produced by Milkyway Image. The production team filmed on the Shue Yan campus in summer of 2025, with the Moot Court providing an authentic setting for courtroom scenes.
Department of Economics and Finance Students Explore Real Estate Development
On 14 April 2026, around 20 students enrolled in the “Property Valuation, Funding and Finance” course of the Department of Economics and Finance at Hong Kong Shue Yan University, led by Dr Edward Tang, Associate Head of the Department; Professor Rita Li, Programme Director of the MSc in Financial Technology Management and Director of the Sustainable Real Estate Research Center; and Dr Raymond Yeung, Assistant Professor, visited the Sun Hung Kai Centre to gain first‑hand insights into real estate development in Hong Kong and related career opportunities.
Isaac Yu’s Counselling Journey: From Student to Pioneer
Mr Yu Chun-yeung (Isaac)’s journey in counselling psychology began at Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU). Despite early academic setbacks in public exams, he graduated at the top of his bachelor’s class. He then became a pioneer in the field as part of the inaugural cohort of HKSYU’s Master of Social Sciences in Counselling Psychology in 2012. Today, Isaac continues to advance counselling psychology through frontline practice, professional training, and teaching, driven by his vision of embedding the discipline within the community.
HKSYU’s First Doctoral Graduate in Economics and Finance and History MPhil Success
Dr Chen Siming, under the supervision of Professor Rita Li (primary supervisor), Director of the Master of Science in Financial Technology Management; Dr Edward Tang (co-supervisor), Associate Head of Department of Economics and Finance, has successfully completed his PhD as the department’s first doctoral graduate. He has since joined Anhui Xinhua University as a lecturer.
